WWE diva Melina Perez was born on March 9th 1979 in LA.

before Melina Perez was beating up people in the ring she was a model (so she beat them up on the runway...just kidding.) Melina Perez was crowned Miss California and modeled for Nike.


I guess Melina Perez was tired of dealing with the cut throat world of modeling and decided to go into the cut throat world of wrestling, where at least all the low blows are staged in the public eye.

Around the year 2000 Melina Perez trained at Jesse (Lizarraga)Hernandez's School of Hard Knocks a pro-wrestler training school.

in 2002 Melina Perez made her wrestling debate on the Empire Wrestling Federation circuit. The EWF happened to be owned and ran by Jesse Hernandez, Melina Perez's 1st trainer.

Later that year Melina Perez tired out for WWE's reality show competion Tough Enough III. The show followed people being trained as wrestlers and competed to win a contract to be part of the WWE. Melina was cut during the try out rounds of the show.

But during the try-outs Melina Perez did meet John Hennigan (better known for his ringnames Johnny Nitro and John Morrison), whom she would have a relationship with and interestly enough 2 years later, Melina Perez started wrestling for Ohio Valley Wrestling (which was owned by the WWE at the time) and the story lined the introduced her under was being John Hennigan's ex-girlfriend.

It was during her time in the OVW circuit that Melina Perez came up with the ideal of doing the splits as her ring entrance.

in November of 2004 Melina Perez made her debut on Raw. The next year Melina Perez would make her debut on WWE Smackdown as part of the MNM trio.


In 2006 Melina Perez went solo, over the years she has won the WWE Women's Championship 3 times.

Melina Perez has wrestled under the names Melina, Kyra and Melanie Little Dear.
